Just got this in from Kishy the other day.
I'm actually liking the Futuba switches, a nice variant to Cherry. And not just a cheap rip-off either.
And was drop-dead simple to take apart this board, unlike many other boards I have.
Damn it's hard to use a key puller on the keys. Virtually no space to get your tool around the bezel.

Yup, the spacebar is heavier than the other keys.

Ooo, looks like I could solder on more switches if I wanted to (PCB looks like it's fine as well for it). Now to find more Futuba switches...

Ceramic Resonator? OK, that's nice, but why is it written on the PCB...

Apparently made by Sejin, which FCC'd this board sometime in November 1988.

Ha, they mention the degree angle of the board...

Umm, someone in QA definitely screwed up here.

Would you be able to take apart one of the switches?
-
Probably impossible without desoldering but ripster (found) has this pic:

Can't verify 100%, but looks pretty close.

I can spot a Commie product when I see it.

EDIT: BTW, congrats. Seems fine board and the price is unbeatable.

very nice... it looks like it was designed by engineers :D

Those darn Ruskies and their backwards writing! (http://www.ul.com/global/eng/pages/offerings/services/components/components/marks/)

Hehe, did you notice the "Zero"-key ?
Very nice board indeed and the caps are even nicer !
-
Yes, I quite like both of my 0 keys.
-
Fancy that. I just scored a Futaba too, for $5. Didn't know the name until I saw this thread. My double shot caps are different. Their stems are a T instead of a + symbol. I thought it was Black Sheep but turns out it's Blackship.

The Futaba feel reminds me of a Cherry MY board.

Wouldn't a standard IBM Model M work with a PC/XT?

Get on the DataTrain, Love Train.....
Get ready for the Train, woman, the Data Train's coming! Whooo whooo!!
(Skip in 1 minute for the part I keep being reminded of.)
