It's a good deal if it's really in "mint" condition like he says. However, his reason for selling it is because " I realized I liked my Apple aluminum keyboard more."
I raged.

Gone, damnit.

Maybe the guy lost the feeling in his fingers in a tragic car accident

The same seller (eBay employee) sold a 103U just a few weeks ago with a similar story. He said he bought it and used it for a few days, then decided he wanted a tenkeyless. So he evidently bought this one, used it for only a few hours, and decided on the Apple instead. Expensive tryouts for him. A fellow GHer bought his 103U and said it was as described. See this thread for more details:

I've got an idea. Maybe send him a message telling him DataHands are the best and maybe he'll buy one, decide he doesn't like it, and then put it up for sale cheap. I've been wanting to get my hands on one of them.

Not a bad deal, but who knows he might have bought it during that time when they were $225 new. I've been seeing a lot of topres pop up on ebay lately so I'd be on the lookout if you're looking...

Do I sense many people who didn't like them trying to catch the current wave? ;-)

What's the current wave?
Edit: I guess he liked scissor switches better. The Macbook Pro scissor switches are really nice. My dad loves his, which is why I decided not to get him a Realforce for Christmas.
