Title: Plastic yellowing in the dark - WTF?
Post by: Half-Saint on Sat, 27 November 2010, 04:09:02
I pulled my Amiga 500+ out of storage yesterday only to find out it turned piss-yellow!!1one What I don't understand is how that happened? It was kept under the bed this whole time, inside a plastic bag. I thought that the yellowing came from the exposure to UV? I keep most of my collection under the bed and I'm now scared to look at the rest of it!

My Gateway2000 computer yellowed in a similar way to you r Amiga. The plastic front of the tower yellowed both on the outside and the inside, and also got very brittle. It's probably just from getting old. The computer ought to work fine though.

It's pretty clear in your signature that you gave up on yellowed keys long ago...
