What are my choices for a palm rest that is designed to fit Tenkeyless keyboards like the Filco? (Preferably something available state side so I don't get killed on shipping or screw up an order due to Google Translate.)
The ones I know of are the Filco, 3-Star, and Ducky (all of which look relatively the same)...Am I missing any?

You can get any foam ones and cut them down.

imho palm rests are kind of useless. maybe they're good for gamers, i dunno.
-
That's exactly what they're good for. For typing you're suppose to keep your wrists up, but in gaming your hand it often in one position for extended periods of time.

the whole setup of the microsoft ergo 4k is why i keep modding it. Not only is it cuz of the split angled slope, but that works in conjunction with the really large wrist rest.
(and at least for me, it's my palms that are resting on the "wrist" rest)
-
In that case I would prefer foam. Cheap, disposable, etc etc

No. I suffered a severe wrist ache few years ago, which was present at all times, not when typing only. Then I started using wrist pads and it seems to be gone.

I'd still rather get the 3-star, or the ducky. filco one is basically the same as ducky but more expensive.
if you can afford it, 3-star is best. dont know why that should be a disposable item, ive never changed my wrist rest on keyboards because it started malfunctioning.

Maybe its just me, but I prefer the touch of cloth over leather for the wrist rest. I'd also prefer not to have to hack one up. Wasn't sure if anyone made a compact cloth/foam/gel-filled/etc one.

I guess i've always typed wrong. I constantly have my wrists resting while typing. My arms start hurting after a while if I keep them hovered, and it keeps me from bottoming out too much.

Wrist rests rule!

I mean whatever works for you is the right way for you :)
I think ripster just drilled it into my head about hovering.

lol, I'll stick to what I'm doing until something starts hurting more than it should ;)
