Hey everyone,
I found an interesting keyboard at a thrift shop. The problem is it didn't come with a cable (it uses a port for one) and was wondering if anyone knew what it is. I also have a question about the keys, they look like Alps but feel substantially different from the last Alps white I grabbed. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

There's actually two of these ports, one on each side . . .

The make and brand, can't find any information on it though.

:) hmm... ADB ports, 1990 apple font, frogdesign case color and styling... looks like a clone non-apple keyboard, for macs.
not sure about the switches; they don't look precisely like complicated ALPS, but compatible.
EDIT: FCC ID leads to this ebay listing:

I see.
Seems I can't find a reasonably priced adapter for it unfortunately, nor a DIY one. If I get the soldering station I want for Christmas I may end up doing a little key transplant . . . for some reason I really like the feel of them over the complex ones.
That is of course unless someone knows of a better idea or a DIY project that will work?

I have a very similar keyboard. The only differences are that mine is made by "Micro Warehouse", and mine has real white alps(it says "Alps" on the switches). The model number on mine is "Power user 105", if that helps.

The OET FCC ID Search Form (http://www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid/) shows the registered OEM ("KJX") as Wentek Technology Inc (http://www.google.ca/search?q=wentek+technology+inc), a vendor (based in CA, USA) who imports Made-In-Taiwan/China electronics. Their products (like this keyboard) could carry any of a million different brands (Precision Devices Inc, eh?). Note that you have Model KB-105 and the FCCID applies to Model KB-205.

It looks a lot like my Micro Warehouse Power User 105 Extended Keyboard. I have posted pictures of it here (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=12155).
The Power User 105 keyboard has complicated white ALPS, not XMs though. The FCC ID is different.
