Hey everyone, i have been checking out the forums for a few days , and i decided that i want to get either the filco or the steelseries 7g, i would prefer the filco, but i cant seem to find them. i know this site sells them, but they are out of stock. if anyone could tell me anywhere else i can get a filco, or when they will be back in stock would be great, thanks! this is the filco i wanted to pruchase btw.

Welcome to GeekHack!
Check the pchome thread and armygroup discussion thread. They may have some in stock.
note: You may need google chrome to translator so you can order from them.
-
Also it's recommended to use google translate within google chrome. It seems to translate the best in that browser.

thank you ^_^

There's a really good guide for ordering on the first page of the Armygroup (http://geekhack.org/showpost.php?p=255060&postcount=4) thread if you decide to order from there.

yeah, i think that is going to be the question >< cause i want the filco, but might just go for a steel series 7g if its going to takea while for elitekeyboards to get them.

when people say that blacks suck for typing do them mean that its just like typing on a normal keyboard, or like its actually bad?

GeekStuff4U (http://www.geekstuff4u.com) has several Filco 'boards in stock.

This red Filco (http://www.geekstuff4u.com/majestouch-italian-red-keyboard.html) would look sweet with that red Ducky wrist rest.

$234 after exchange... bit steep for a Filco I'd say, even if it is fancy pants Italian Red.
As for Black switches and typing, the lack of a tactile point means you have to be a bit more deliberate in how far you move your finger rather than just waiting for the feedback the switch produces. Plus they require more force to actuate than the Blues or Browns. I still prefer Black switches to membrane keyboards, but they are my least favorite to type on.
