Yeah, blank keycaps, free palm rest but no mousepad. :(

Total is MYR438 and a few cents.

The Black switch spacebar really needs some serious getting used to lol.

Still getting used to the lightness of the switch compared to rubber dome keyboard. Getting double spaces quite often.

Is this normal ? Any ideas :/ ?

This is for a ducky 9008 model. Could this be related to a loose spacebar. I think someone before had to resolder the spacebar.

lol

topic: it should be the opposite, the black spacebar should use a grey switch, which needs nearly 80g

How do you go about converting from a black to a grey switch ?

By just changing the spring ?

Yes. If it is a grey switch in the Ducky too he should just solder out something like scroll lock and swap it for the spacebar.

What do they use on the spacebar anyway? My understanding was that the Duckys with browns had a black switch there (unless I'm mixing things up). I doubt we have a grey one here, at least I can't imagine anyone complaining about it being too light.

While linear MX switches are the most likely to exhibit accidental double presses, there shouldn't be that much key bounce. This may indicate either a soldering problem (as mentioned) or a "bouncy" switch contact that possibly could use a bit of bending or just replacement.

@keyb_gr

I'll ask them again what keyboard they got exactly. But all i know is he says his spacebar is a black switch.

But if this is not normal, he probably needs to send it for warranty :/ cauz i don't think he would know how to change the switch or do the soldering.

Anyway Dk-9008 cherry mx browns come with brown switches for the spacebar.

It was observed in a DK-9008 cherry mx blue (by squarebox) that his switch was black.

There is going to be a special edition of new DK keyboards that have cherry mx brown; with cherry mx clears for the function keys. But what you get for spacebar i don't know.

*update

He is using a Ducky Dk-9008 cherry mx blue switches; but has a black cherry mx switch for the spacebar.

Hmm? I don't think there's anything wrong with my keyboard. I think it's just my habit that needs changing.

The spacebar doesn't double tap if I intentionally just go press the key once.
