Title: Steelkeys 6G
Post by: Ekaros on Sat, 18 December 2010, 13:27:59
Just wanted to inquire if anyone has or have had one of 6Gs not v2s in this case. I'm about to get one used with two key sets. This is decent board for with MX Blacks, I just want to know if there is any issue apart from bad quality of keys...

Reasons are to get one board with MX Black and it's right layout. Not some messed up one like 7G and 6Gv2...

6G is 2KRO.  Not sure if anything else significant changed.   Probably Gold USB connectors.

I think the body construction is poor in comparison to the G80-3000, this maybe due to the way the switches have been soldered into the board. Also don't like the big reverse L enter key.

But the individual keys are good quality and the grey is a nice shade as well. It should come with a key removal tool but it is fragile so take your time taking the keys out.

Another GH'er just sold one of these.  Maybe ask him any questions you might have.

Hmm, got it today. It is 2KRO, with some issues but WASD cluster is good apart from atleast B, key quality is ok, but printing might have a slight issues. Have to bit more use on this to reach my final verdict.
