Hellllllo Geekhack.
I've been lurking here for a few months and have really enjoyed learning about all of the wonderful types of switches available to us peripheral connoisseurs. After realizing I had the beginning stages of RSI, I began my search for a quality keyboard which invariably led me here. After digging through the multitude of switch types I finally decided on the MX Cherry Browns which seem to be a fairly popular switch, despite being rather hard to come across on our side of the pond. I decided to order a Filco board from Elite Keyboards as a Christmas present to myself. Low and behold... out of stock turned into no longer available. I was quite upset as I had my heart set on the sturdy construction of the Filco and brown switches.
After a bit more reading I strongly considered the Topre Realforce 103UB in black, however $245 plus shipping is quite a pill to swallow for my first quality keyboard. Luckily I stumbled upon a post from the new Ducky Rep here on Geekhack and snagged one of the DK9008 keyboards available with printed keys and brown switches. I will be taking pictures and posting my review of it as soon as it arrives, I am very excited.
As for the DK9008, I've read the few posts on here that discuss the Ducky, however information on the Ducky keyboards is a bit scarce compared to the bevy of information available for the Filco boards and even the Topre boards. Is there anything in particular I need to watch out for or be mindful of, or should I be expecting a near flawless typing experience similar to the Filco brand? Any information would be very helpful and I look forward to contributing to this site with pictures and my impressions as soon as it arrives.
This is the keyboard I ordered if anyone missed the Ducky Rep's post.

Welcome to GeekHack and congrats on your first mechanical! There are a bunch of user reviews of Duckys in the Reviews section, so I would start there. There's a lot of helpful info in them as I recall.

hi welcome!
i had to the browns for a while and i already kinda miss them =P hope you like them and hope it helps your RSI too. they're definitely light on the fingers compared to the rubber dome keyboards, so i think you'll be happy with your purchase
