Namely, my M and my Cherry G80. It occurs between words, never in the middle.
The active converter from PS/2 to USB is one obvious common element. The issue does not occur with a modern USB keyboard. However, I don't recall it happening on any of my old Dells through the same converter, and
sSome of the Dells are older than the Cherry (some even have the old grey plug). Haven't been able to verify whether this happens via PS/2 without the converter. I might--the Cherry probably won't hang my computer the way M does, since I won't be replugging the M in any time soon.
Anybody else ever witness a similar thing?

Maybe you've heard this one a few times?
No, but please keep them coming.

The only occasions with sporadic numbers appearing involved cursor key usage here. I can only guess that cursor key scancodes are handled as numpad + shift, and once in a while the system or adapter doesn't get the shift state right.
