Someone knows which MX switches and what kind of caps on this Cherry?
I've just read on OC: "Black switches & Double shot keycaps".
Can someone confirm that?

Poser une question, mon ami!
Ask for a photo of the label or at least ask if they can tell you the complete product code.

Hehe yeah, sie haben Recht, I will :)
-
and? some info?
-
They are blacks, double shot keys. g80-1861HAF. They are taken from a portable goupil computer (http://mpc.fab.free.fr/goupil/golf/golfecranp.jpg). I ordered one of them 6 weeks ago. It never arrived in germany.
The seller had warned me that economy with French Post is not a good idea, but I didn't feel like paying nearly 30 Euros just for the shipping on a 15 Euro board. I guess he was quite right.
If you do get one of them, I suppose go for registered mail if you are outside of France.

Somehow that just sounds like a lame excuse ...
-
I just received mine.

Great keyboard, it cost me 15 euros + shipping.
Indeed, the label says g80-1861HAF. It's more dark grey than black.
A shipment with insurance of 150 euros from France to Germany cost 18.65 euros (2 kg). It's rather odd that he asked you 30 euros, not very honest...
btw, I doubt that the seller doesn't have you sent the keyboard with 762 100% positive transactions.

Yes, I'm also sure he did send it. Maybe I misunderstood his initial message wrong... let me find it again so you a Native French person can take a look:
Bonjour
J'ai posté le clavier ce matin. Je vous en souhaite bonne réception
le service économique est parfois un peu lent
Maybe I'll order a second one, I really need one in my G80-1800 collection.

Hi,
I sent the keyboard this morning. I wish you good reception
The economical service is sometimes pretty slow.
6 weeks is f***ing slow yeah.
If you are planning to buy another goupil, send him this pdf (http://www.laposte.fr/Particulier/Consultez-nos-tarifs/Tarifs-Colis) (the first from the top "Tarifs au départ de France métropolitaine...")

Well I bid on one, let's see what happens.
-
Double shot & Cherry black.
I just cleaned it a bit.
Any advice to clean the keycaps?
Clear MX for the spacebar?

As for cleaning, try my method (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=6856).

Ahah nice :)
Thank you.
-
Also if any of you guys getting these wants to get rid of that black/grey case, let me know. I'll swap you for a white NIB one :p
-
i clean keycaps in the washing machine 60 degree in a net with the towels from sport.
-
I got mine two days ago. The keys are yellowed and shiny. Overall it's ugly :P
dewaere: yours looks not yellowed at all!
-
You should totally sell me the case.
-
Yep, the keycaps were not yellowed at all, just a little dirty. I cleaned them all.
-
I got another board (case is going to Sixty), keycaps are not yellowed but they are certainly shiny :P
-
Looks like that one saw a good bit of use then, though shiny keys aren't that uncommon. Keep in mind vintage Cherry doubleshots are ABS.
