EIBM gave me a facepalm.
Clothes, clothes, clothes, some tiny bottles of Jim Beam, more clothes and movie tickets. If you were my daughter, I'd give you oversized sweaters. I'm just sayin'...
Nah, I didn't give you anything for christmas, not even a facepalm. He just gave ME one too!

But how bad's the processor? The G4's were pretty lousy. But the 1Ghz ones were better than the 400Mhz ones.
Some books, some sushi kit and for the tech-savy Shure SRH440 head-phones...
Ew, don't like baggy clothes.
HD595's FTW!
My bedroom setup.

Okay, what did I get for christmas?
HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Like over a hundred 3" floppy disks (including those containers with the semi-transparent brown plastic lids). A bunch of CD ROM drives, floppy drives, DVD drives, various cards... including a nice Creative AWE64 card. Gotta try that one out later, quite anxious actually. Never heard the AWE MIDI EMU canvas before.
Some manuals...
And a bottle of jagermeister...
EIBM and Jagerbombs? I think this would be an amazing sight, one way or another...
Got any discs to play on it?
A Christmas cake is all I got.
My friends want to see me drunk so bad.
These are 3.5", not 3" as you wrote.
3" are very odd and rare.
I think I throw some part of Win 95 3.5" instalation disc set away... One boring operation to get that one on comp...
It's like a little bit of history. Plus I actually use them for driver disks. If you have old computers, it's imperative to have floppies around.
Yes... I meant 3.5, I was too lazy to put the .5 because I thought people wouldn't make a FUSS about it and KNOW I was referring to 3.5.
You could have very easily been talking about any number of 3" floppy disk designs.Show Image(http://www.deepsonic.ch/deep/pix/roland_l-120_quickdisk_set_3.jpg)
To me, keeping floppies around is like keeping 64MB USB sticks around. The technology is new enough that you can still buy it new, but the physical space it takes up in my office is not worth it due to the small amount of data storage.
3.5" floppies aren't old enough to be retro-cool.

Get a shot of the Jim Beam from above poster, not quite full. Poor a stream of jagermeister right into the center of the shot = Black Hole. Deadly combo.
I got a reef hook. The cool one with one hand deploy action. Will use it on the very deadly hammer head shark dive I have coming up. Deadly due to currant and water conditions not the sharks.
My friends want to see me drunk so bad.
Actually, I probably look a lot different than what you and others think.
Not at all like this:Show Image(http://globalnerdy.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2007/06/nerd.jpg)
Everyone well knew what I was referring to. If I was referring to 3.0" floppy disks, I would have made an effort to emphasize that fact.
And those are Roland disks, obviously my PC 300 doesn't have a 3.0" floppy drive.
I use a 128 Verbatim jump drive for school work. Nothing wrong with that. A 64 MB stick is actually a lot of memory.
Generally buying 3" floppy disks is a pain. New ones are made cheaply anyhow, bit rot galore.
If you want to keep something, you'll do so. Space is never the issue, it's personal choice.
With that said I do have 5" floppy disks, low density ones too.
But I'm not trying to be retro-cool (all of this old computer stuff I just randomly inherited from various places: in fact, I only really bought my modern computer equipment, with the exception of my dear 6562).
@ch_123
Ok, that's crazy. Never seen a 3" disk and didn't know Nintendo ever got involved in anything that had to do with floppies. Double awesome.

That's one set I don't have yet, I have like three sets of windows 3.1 installation floppies.
I find the stuff kind of fascinating, and, I enjoy having it around. I don't see a point of throwing it away. It's like a little bit of history. Plus I actually use them for driver disks. If you have old computers, it's imperative to have floppies around.

I remember downloading Slackware Linux from a local BBS and having to install it from floppies. Was something like 15ish 3.5" floppies. I think I still have a few around somewhere.
Vintage or not audio will be a MUCH more expensive hobby than keyboards.
Fav thing I opened Christmas day was Nanodots!
I have a complete set of Windows 95 upgrade floppies, but I don't have the disks for a clean installation. But that's OK though since I can just install Windows for Workgroups and then upgrade.
Oh, and here's something I bet you want:Show Image(http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/9492/020gf.jpg)
I got a GHSS :D
Is 216 worth getting, or should one start off with more?

I have lots of of other crazy old software on floppies and lots of CAD software from the late 1980's to the mid 1990's as well.
Some of the floppies I had weren't well-cared for though and did not work. But my old Gateway2000 OEM Windows disks lasted a long time.
I don't really ever use flash drives on my computers. I transfer everything over the network.
tsk, should be using stacks of floppies to maintain historical authenticity ;)
A bunch of coal and 16-year Lagavulin single malt. I was very bad this year.
