You contact them and send them a link to the product you want from the vendor's website. They handle the rest.
Vendor website product link (http://www.archisite.co.jp/archiss_as-kb87.htm).

Post edited. You can get the black/linear, brown/tactile, or blue/clicky. Appropriately named "AS-KB87L", "AS-KB87T", and "AS-KB87C". :)

I don't see any buy option?
So i send a email to jgoods about i want the C model aka blue switch?
and they will figure out how to buy it, lol?
Cuz i dont see a buy option on the website ya gave me

Send the link to the product you want to J-Goods. You don't need to send them a purchasing link. You just need to identify to them what you want. They take care of the rest.
-

Credit cards? They work just as well, and offer security if you get scammed.

Paypal is pretty darned good when it comes to getting a refund.
I've been refunded on at least half a dozen transactions without issue.
-
At least here in Finland there is a law that makes credit card companies ensure the transaction, and if anything goes wrong, they have to make a full refund to the payer.
Edit: 420 ftw
-
do they make these keyboards with a keypad or no?
edit** is that shipping calculator right? cause i put an estimated 10 lb and it said $91, that cant be right, how much was shipping to the states?
-
Just wanted to drop a note of thanks. I followed the tips above and ordered an Archiss via JGoods. Whole process took about a week. The ~$40 delivery fee hurt, but I'm pretty satisfied. Sure as heck beats waiting on EK to get their act together.
-
Hey, I just bought a Tenkeyless Archiss from J-Goods and the quote was as follows:
First payment:
AS-KB87T - 7980 JPY
5% fee - 399 JPY
Shopping commision fee - 1649 JPY
----------------------------------
Total - 10,028 JPY
2nd payment:
International postage - (some weird symbol)
Settlement fee - (some weird symbol)
Postal insurance fee - 0 JPY
I read the instructions J-Goods sent me, and they said they'll ask for the 2nd payment when the receive they keyboard. However, I've seen that 10,028 JPY is around the price other's have paid for their keyboards. (Saw iMav's post, he paid 10,004 for his AS-KB87C shipped)
I'm shipping to Boston.
Am I done with payment? Or do I have another payment afterwards?
It came out to around $130 USD so far..
-
Welcome to Geekhack!
I wouldn't be surprised if EliteKeyboards comes to about that same price. $130 shipped. Maybe a bit cheaper for a fullsized.
Is that more or less what their Filco pricing was like?
Dumb question: Why would full size be cheaper?
-

There is the shipping payment, which is payment #2. I paid around $160 or $165 for mine (total, incl shipping), shipping to California.
-
Dumb question: Why would full size be cheaper?
I'm guessing there are more demands for tenkeyless?

I'm guessing there are more demands for tenkeyless?
And/or less supply.
-
Ugh, ok. I failed at waiting. $130 didn't sound bad, especially when Ripster pointed out how much the old Filco cost. So I ended up being impatient and will try to order one from J-Goods on the good faith that iMav has in them.
-
Ahh, ok, never used a proxy. The second payment is the international shipping. 160 still isn't bad. And EK probably could save on international shipping so I could see them being at $130ish. Makes more sense now. Still not a total deal breaker though.
-
QQ waiting for this leopold is killing me. so tempted to just ball out and grab a realforce instead...
-
My GF loves it when I ball out.
-
Does it involve Richard Gere?
-
As far as I know full size Leopold boards have been out of production for a while. Who knows though. Maybe they are coming back.
In related news, finished my modding of the Leopold/Archiss sample yesterday, Capslock key was a *****:

Things to note:
Somehow my white LED mod in ESC is not working, maybe need to grab voltage from elsewhere. Cable sleeve in "Color X" is too strange of a color to go hand-in-hand with the red skull key from ClickClack. Will have to order actual scarlet sleeve.
-
Sixy, gave me an idea. I saw somewhere they had orange on black keycaps. Can you modify the LED's? Or are they soldered on. Not a fan of soldering a new board. (that I have yet to buy)
-
Any type of LED mod will require soldering. The one I planned for the ESC key will also require drilling into the PCB. Basically I drilled in two additional holes into the PCB, then had the LED linked with scroll lock with wires. For some reason it is not working though.
So yeah, warranty on this one is as void as it could possibly be. (inb4 ripster posts the burning elitekeyboards warranty)
-
I heard it LONG before Richard Gere hit it big (or whatever he hit). My wife worked as a nurse in a STD clinic AND IT'S ALL TRUE. She's now my dedicated pecker checker.
Ugh. My mom is a Residency Training Coordinator in an OB/GYN clinic. Some of the stuff I've heard is almost enough to make you gay.
Almost.
Guys, you DO NOT want to be an OB/GYN doc. You have to take the bad with the good, and a lot of the time, "the bad" is why they are there.

Reminds me of this cool story (http://www.darwinawards.com/legends/legends1998-10.html).
I pushed a cardboard toilet paper tube up his rectum and slipped Ragout, our gerbil, in," he explained. "As usual, Kiki shouted out 'Armageddon,' my cue that he'd had reached nirvana, so to speak.

Ah, I went with Tenso (http://www.tenso.com/en/) instead as that was what Rakuten suggested when I tried to checkout (yes, I'm gullible).
From what I see, as long as you provide them with the item name, quantity and shopping cart link, J-Goods will do the translation and purchase for you. Tenso just gives an address and some other shipping information that was not immediately obvious to me, and then expects you to use that to shop by yourself :(
Still, I appear to have succeeded with the help of translate.google.com. My first payment's breakdown is:
AS-KB87T - 7600 yen
Sales tax - 380 yen
Shipping (approx.) - 490 yen
Total - 8470 yen
Estimating the weight of the package to be just above 1 kg, my second payment might be:
Service fee - 980 yen
Shipping (Asia) - 2100 yen
Total - 3080 yen
That means a net total of 11550 yen.

Ahhh. I ordered through Tenso too and got into a mess by ordering it twice. I have two Cherry MX Blue tenkeyless Archisses coming my way now. My actual quote for the two keyboards with consolidated shipping is 24140 yen: 7980x2 yen for 2 kbs and 8180 yen for shipping. I think you ordered the browns, but I really need to sell the 2nd kb :baby:
*hijack mode* if anyone is interested in cherry blue Leopold/Archiss, PM me! D:
-
Okie, bite it.. I asked my friend in Japan to buy one and post it to me. No commission fee or extra charge!

I need friends from Japan. *sigh*
-
I just receive the email from EK.. they told me that postage fee for a tenkeyless to Aus will be 50USD.. that's too much for me. In the end, I may end up paying almost 200....
Anyway, still waiting for reply from my friend.

Have you done any voltage/current measurs on the LED that's not working? Maybe you just switched polarities by mistake?

Yes, I ordered a brown. The total package weight is 1.9+ kg, which means that I had to pay 3000 yen instead of 2100 yen. I guessed the service fee correctly though, but it seems that my keyboard is more expensive than yours, on average :(
-
The total came to around $166 dollars for a keyboard. (Archiss w/ Browns)
Shipping was $41.65 to Boston.
Sigh, what I'd do for my first mechanical keyboard..
-
I just ponied up 163 tp armygroup. So I feel your pain overvu.
-
i also caved.... just spent 260 to ek for a realforce.....
-
Whatever happened to runeazn anyways? Guess died waiting for his Ducky. So close yet so far.

I provided them the link above, can anyone confirm they will be an american standard code keyboard?
