Three buckling spring Model Ms for sale. Each is clean and functions perfectly. They are each bolt modded (http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=Island:12093) so there are no rivets to break, ever.
All springs are in excellent shape. They feel uniform and crisp.
Asking $40 plus shipping for each. Will ship to U.S. or perhaps another country if you can convince me that customs isn't going to be a crazy painful charade. Or, pick them up in person in Maynard, Mass.
Silver label model M, part no. 1390131, manufactured 7/14/1986.
Industrial build quality inside: this board has the thickest metal plate on any Model M I have seen. It's heavy too. Feels and sounds solid.

Model M5-1, part no. 1370478. This is a regular Model M with an integrated trackball, which Lexmark built only briefly before replacing this design with the M5-2. The trackball has never worked well -- you should not plan on using the trackball. The ball only grabs the roller intermittently. I believe the design of the trackball mechanism is intrinsically unreliable.
This keyboard has unusually heavy key feel. It always did; neither the bolt mod nor a new set of springs made it lighter. If you wish the Model M required 10% more effort to type on, this is your board.

Gah! I'm late to the party. Oh well. Guess I'll just have to use jpc's excellent bolt mod guide to do one myself :)

If anyone happens to back out I'd be very interested in buying one.
