interesting... although no BIN
model# 1395300.
can we tell which ones are the rubber dome ones, and which the buckling spring ones?
-
1395300 is guaranteed BS I believe.
-
yup. I love the M2. Awesome design, and easy on the fingers too.
-
"untested" on an M2 almost always means it's not working and you have to do the capacitor transplant.
-
is there a reliable, inexpensive supply of broken ones? err, ones needing a capacitor replacement

i have 8 or so, let me know if you're interested.
-
I might be interested. What makes these different/better than a standard Model M? How tough is it to transplant the capacitor?
-
They're much smaller than the Model M, but other than that, they're pretty much inferior in every way.
But, if you want a smaller, cheap keyboard that still has buckling springs, it could do the trick.
-
I prefer a Unicomp Spacesaver...
-
hm, 2 hours left and still no bidders

The keys are laid out flat, while the Model M is "scooped" (curved backplate). The board is also much smaller than a regular M (and even Unicomp's Space Saver)

Nobody bid on it at all. I thought about it, but only as a parts donor. Then I forgot.
Ah well.
