Well, I'm going to try and behave a little better. If that doesn't work out, I'm outta here for good.

You're not doing a very good job at taking a posting break.

Well, positive contribution's better than none, and no contribution's better than negative contribution. What I've at least tried to do is do the right thing and apologize for my mistakes and I'm going to try and be a bit nicer to you all from here on to help the negative sentiment here die down.

I don't get the fuss. MW is a sweetheart. With a very filthy, frightening basement.

Yeah, you can run opera 10 in windows 98 (you'd probably need Kernel X or whatever it's called for opera 11 I'm thinking).

If you're running win98, why not run DOS?  Better yet, why not run C/PM and write your own web browser in assembler?

Uhh, windows 98 has DOS in it, and also restart in MS-DOS mode. Much more convenient.
And if I ran just DOS 6.22, I wouldn't be able to run opera 10 in it... nor would I have the nice interface to select which MIDI canvas I want to use.
I have 384 MB of EDO RAM; it would all be wasted if only running DOS. PLUS, I have win 9x-specific games and whatnot.

As for writing a web browser on C/PM... why don't you go do that? It takes a lot of resources to write one, not to mention time.

Meh - I really have no care what arcane voodoo people use to move ones and zeros.  Plus I spelled CP/M wrong.  I just like to poke autistic people.  I just wish EliteKeyboards would hurry up and start stocking up on that Leopold voodoo so I can upgrade my Logitech waksauce.

I like operating systems with memory protection, proper multitasking, hardware abstraction... useful things like that.
