Here's a funny old laptop you guys might like. (http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Toshiba-Computer-T3200sx-/260714020000?pt=Laptops_Nov05&hash=item3cb3c43ca0)

They do kind of look like Dolch keys. They could've been made by the same company.
But I like the keyboard layout though. That would be a great layout for a space saving keyboard.

It might. All I remembered was people finding laptops that looked just like this and had blue Cherry switches. But whatever it might be, I bet it'll have a good keyboard.

Is that some sort of SMK/Montery switch?

I did that once, but I skipped on it because I had thought that it was the Toshiba laptops that had Cherry switches and the one I found was not a Toshiba ... GAH!

Low-profile ALPS.

This is the T3200sx which has the same keyboard as the T5200. Low profile pcb mounted Alps switches. The whole keyboard is made by Alps.
@Julle: T3200 has a different keyboard (no F11 and F12) and switches.

Only ANSI keyboards with US layout were delivered to the dealers. The dealer then installed the local keycap set:

You never know.
I don't think a T5200 went for more than Euro 50,- on ebay Germany. Most for a lot less.
If you want to use it then have the seller check the floppy disk drive. Most T5200 flloppy drives don't work. I replaced several capacitors but no success.

Does anyone know if laptops this old had keyboards with integrated controllers? I'd be interested if I could rip the keyboard out and solder it to work with PS2.
