hi
first of all i want to thank you for all the good advices i found here.
I bought my first mechanical keyboard from Realforce and it's a real pleasure, an expensive one but a fantastic one.
So I'm considering buying a HHKB but there is two layouts the "normal" one and the japanese one with more keys, and a small space bar.
But is the quality the same ?
I've seen them in geekstuff4u and benippon.
i'm waiting for the mini guru or the otd korean made one ;-) too but i never felt the cherry brown touch.
Thanks
Gilgam

I really like the small space bar. I always thought the big ones were way oversized and a waste of space. You can bind the JP-specific ones to something like backspace and give your underused thumb something to do.

ok the quality is the same, the spacebar is indeed small. I'm trying on my keyboard to type on the same space on the spacebar.
Small needles/spikes maybe ?

Looking at my shiny spot, something tells me I would be pressing that circle-looking key a lot.

You should check out my movie, then - The Loin King.

That short right shift key would not work for me at all....space bar would kill me too, judging from the shine on my space bar I would be hitting the kana key.
