Title: IMB Model M (swe layout) vs Tenkeyless (SOLD!)
Post by: Ghostpixel on Sat, 15 January 2011, 06:33:25
I have an ibm model m with the gray on white logo and the extra long detachable ps/2 cable (made sometimes between 90 and 92 i think... the label on the back is from a company that used them and the date is 92, but that was the date that they got it and not when it was made, acording to some staff there who i got hold of with e-mail and remembered the keyboard from way back then :))

It has a weird problem where i press x and , the space bar goes down with it a little bit (may have something to do with the stabaliser under space sitting wrong or something? I havent take it apart.)  It works perfect besides that though and space is never actually pressed all the way down with x and , etc.

It was my first model m and i found out i probably like my pink/white alps and cherry browns better, so i'll trade this one if anyone is interested. Im looking for a tenkeyless with cherry browns or nice alps and european layout (dont know if there are any in the same price range?)

I had the same issue on one of my used Model M boards, just remove both keys and reseat the stabilizer, that will fix it. the left side of the stabilizer bar is out of the plasitc hook, its that simple.
