Title: Filco 88 Key Tenkeyless Update.
Post by: Bruce on Wed, 02 February 2011, 16:10:21: We have the European Language Tenkeyless now on a ship coming our way. Due to land late this month. We had an amount sent Express in order to fill some back orders and they are mostly shipped out now. But some remain....
There are Swe/Fin, German, French and UK models in the main shipment.

Post by: wulax on Sat, 05 February 2011, 18:03:19: I just got my Swe/Fi Tenkeyless. Nice keyboard, though mine has a manufacturing error. The keycap for the key "O" has the wrong physical size, or rather wrong inclination, compared to other keys in the same row. The "O" key is shaped like the keys on the row beneath it, the "asdf" row instead of "qwer" row.
I sent an email with photos attached and hope you can mail me the correct key.

I also ordered a set of 105 blank keys a few days ago, but they're in stock. I'm assuming they'll be dispatched separately? Going to be a few confused faces at my work when i receive 105 blank keys for a keyboard i don't yet own.

I won't be stocking these European layouts into Amazon but watch out this week for the red switch USA models on Amazon. I think you will like them, 104 and 87 key and all with the new PCB.

i sent u one more email, i was in a rush earlier, and i thought i didn't send it at all, very good!!
Since u told me it should take a while to re-arrange the keys, and have it mac-customized and the red "esc", you can take your time, becasue i will be in the usa starting from March 10th to 17th, and i wouldn't like to not be at home when the keyboard will arrive here in italy.
i confirm the purchase, and i will pay through paypal as said.

Don't you Danes have the placement of the Ø and Æ swapped around, when compared to Norwegian/Swedish/Finnish?

Can't you just pull them off and switch them around and pretend the Ö is Ø and Ä is Æ?

At least you get UK taxes subtracted from your order, which are nearly as high as the Norwegian ones. It's not like you would save any real money by buying the keyboard in the UK and bringing it home.

I think I paid around 300 NOK at the post office (sales tax and taxation fee) when I picked up my Filco Tenkeyless - which by the way is the nicest keyboard (out of many, many from regular shops) I have ever owned.

I've been using a fullsize Filco with browns for about 1,5 months now. It cost me about 145€ including shipping and it's been absolutely worth every single penny.

I know you're all keen to know what the outlook is on Red Switch models. The truth is, I don't know very much more than you do. Just that currently they are in constraint in Asia for some reason (Which may well be contractual) but that we will incorporate them into all our models once they become more readily available.
Until I get something more concrete I don't want to get anyone's hopes up.

Here I can read that european keyboards are on the way. Are they sold already? Or is the shop out of date? Really like to get a tenkeyless Filco. Can you clear things up?

This shipment has been a little delayed and we have had to put the date back to 1st August. There was a little delay from the factory and we also learned recently that there is a new top speed for container ships which adds 10 days to ship time. But saves 50% on fuel. We sometimes fly smaller shipments in but we are trying to avoid that for a variety of reasons, not least the large added cost. I'm working really hard on scheduling so we can improve and I am very grateful for your patience.
