just a few weeks ago i was very happy typing away on my 3 year old g15 and now i have purchased two new keyboard and looking at a 3rd. I have spent hundreds of dollars and a crap-ton of hours looking/shopping. You even have me watching ebay for new **** for to buy.

I really think i'm going to have to create a rule to block this damn website!

And I learned here that a Topre won't be that much better - and it is for people who type with a light touch. I type with a heavy touch - so I'm better off with what I have.

Those intray things can be good for storing the smaller keyboards - you never know, you might actually want a bit of the desk for something else.

Since finding Geekhack, I ended up with a Model M13 (since sold), an EnduraPro 104 (second set of mouse buttons is dying on it, and the USB cable is bad... grr...), a Scorpius M10, beam springs, and now I'm getting plate springs.

(To be fair, I knew about the M13 and the EnduraPro, I just wasn't motivated to get one until finding Geekhack.)

I hope to always stay a user instead of a collector. Ok maybe something in between, but i definitely draw the line at owning multiple keyboards from one model.

So far this is the plan:

Some cheap MX Brown board to see if i even like them - In the mail
Filco tenkeyless MX Brown - Pending
Filco tenkeypad MX Black or ghetto Reds (for fps)(might be a modded nostromo also) - Pending
Unicomp mini - Optional

And basically stop there, unless something cool comes out afterwards :>>>>>

hehehe... i did just buy another blackwidow so i can put clears in it, picked it up cheap so the cost even with the clear switches shoould be < 100$.

On other hand G80-3000 is "cheap" here, but on other hand dollar is low now...

I really can't see how MX Blacks will offer me any new functionality, especially since I mostly play RTS games and the Browns feel 100% perfect for that. Clears and Reds just seem like variations on those themes.

That said, I'll probably sign up for the switch try pad just so I can know for sure. I'm curious but not enough to just order a new keyboard for the hell of it. I think, with the 3 main boards I have right now, that I have all the functionality that I need and now its time to wear these puppies in and really make them mine. :)
