Title: help finding a tenkeyless blue
Post by: upperguy on Fri, 18 February 2011, 17:53:41
I feel like I'm blind because I can't find any tenkeyless cherry blue keyboard that aren't $200+. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I was going to order a ducky from PCH but that fell through.

Thanks in advance guys!

I think I got in touch with them a little bit ago and it was black, but I may be thinking of something else. Other than that I guess I'm out of luck... my current keyboard is having issues so I'd really prefer not to wait any longer. Looks like full sized it is!

Thanks for the quick response

What about a Noppoo?
If you don't mind it's form factor over a tenkeyless, or the lasered keys, it should work out.

I'd be interested myself.  Did I miss the iTouch switch type?  Blues, Browns?

obook buying agents speak pretty good English. It would be a little more than $90 though with something else than airmail shipping. And using airmail this time of the year would be a dumb thing to do.

Forgive my ignorance, why would it be dumb to use airmail this time of year?

The Chinese new year has cluttered their postal system, and all packages will be delayed by 2-4 weeks. EMS however works just fine even right after the holidays, like KL posted.

Anyone familiar with these? PLU ML-87 it's a tenkeyless blue but I've never heard about them before.

They're a solid keyboard, but no NKRO. Build quality is good, and they're certainly affordable. The only real downside I had was the 2kro. It's a pretty good matrix, WASD can be pressed at the same time, as well as every common gaming combo I tried, but the arrow keys aren't optimized quite as well. It's certainly no worse than your average rubber dome keyboard, and better than several I've used.

I haven't gotten around to writing a full review of it, but you can see my pics here (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=14464), including some shots of the guts. Personally, I used OBook to order from taobao, and EMS actually delivered my package overnight. It probably wouldn't be much of a savings to order from taobao though, unless you're ordering more stuff, as the shipping can be fairly expensive.

If you need a tenkeyless board with blues ASAP, I'd go for it. NKRO would be nice, but it's somewhat overhyped, most people don't actually NEED it as long as the keyboard doesn't block common combinations.

Yep. This is what obook told me:

Please kindly note that China Post AIRMAIL business is currently overloaded.  Our prior customers experienced 10-20 days delay for their parcels, during which the parcel’s status did not change in the online tracking system.  We are expecting the same or even more severe delay (say around 15-25 days delay) for future parcels until end of February.

To get an exact price for a Noppoo from Taobao, you have to contact an agent for a quote. The price can shift a little if things happen(they add a small fee for a buffer, so usually it's refunds from the buffer, and refunds if they negotiate a lower price from the seller.)

Bit of a warning: Only Airmail ships to Hawaii, however Airmail is really cheap.
