OOPS: I should have put this in the other sub-forum.
Well a Datahand Personal just sold for US $1002.02

I thought what I paid for my DH Personal was a bit pricy.

I was hoping on getting that datahand for a nice price but I guess not. Why someone would pay that much when you can buy a brand new pro II from the website for $10 cheaper is beyond me.
-
Look at the bids: some smart guy entered a very high bid on 9 february while other early bidders kept raising the bar, only to discover the first guy's bid was astonishingly high.
For that price, you might as well get a new Pro model from Datahand themselves. That way, the warranty is still running and you'd get more features to boot.
So remember kids: early bidders always lose.
-
You're right, they are out of stock according to their website. Still, paying $1000 for a used Personal model sounds like Ebay folly to me.
-
Webwit said they start to smell bad after a while...
-
Keep in mind, the winner may not pay....
Make no mistake, you will still be able to get Datahand Pro IIs directly from Datahand for the foreseeable future.
Plus, who wants a plain old Datahand anymore? Have you seen what gator456 did to his????? AW-SUM!!!

Slick! Slicker! Slickest!

i think it's interesting a couple other people (with 0 feedback) that lost were willing to pay $800+ when Datahands almost always sell for $400-$600 on ebay.
-
A Supply/Demand matrix doesn't really account for the hyper-inflated price on this particular auction nearly as much as the idea a couple ill-informed noobs with excess cash all hitting at the same time. Odd.
-
Oh. Oops.
-
There was an ebay auction for the original datahand about 2 months ago for slightly more than $200, if only I knew people would actually pay that much much for a keyboard...
-
ripster dont ruin it for all of us!
