I bought my filco about 1 month ago and I really like it, but one thing bothers me. The enter key has recently been acting very weird.
If you push it down on the right side of the key it will register the keystroke but if you push it down on the left side it doesn't, however it used to until a couple of days ago.

The red area would be the part where you can push and it register the keystroke, rest of it doesn't seem to work.
Has anyone had the same problem or have any soloution. I could probably get a picture of what the key looks like so we can make sure nothing is broken.
edit: for some reason the picture doesn't show http://piclair.com/ww5mk
edit2: i just tried to push the switch down without the keycap down, it only register if you kinda push the switch to the right while u push it down and the switch itself feels very loose.

Strange, Filcos have plate-mounted switches. Either top and bottom case of the switch have come apart for some reason, or the thing has come loose from the circuit board. Depending on what's up, one may have to open the whole thing up.
You say you've only had it for a month though? Then I'd say put the key back on properly (ripster wrote a nice wiki on removing and replacing keycaps which also covers Filco stabilizers) and contact the dealer for an RMA.

The stabilizer looks like it should, atleast i think it does.(http://184.72.239.143/mu/5ae65de5-5368-62e7.jpg) not sure if the image works since i'm writing from my phone

oh noes, another faulty filco.
seriously though the stabilizers look fine. it's definitely the switch's problem.

I will contact keyboardco then and see if they can replace it. Thanks for the help, much appreciated!

I hope it isn't too taboo to resurrect old threads here but this isn't too old and has the perfect name...
My new Filco's enter key problem is different from OP in that the switch actuates just fine.
Mine just feels different/ less smooth from the rest of the board.
When I got the kb in the mail I had to re-seat the right shift and backspace keys because they were sticking up, I guess from some rough shipping.
After doing so though, they feel great.
My Enter key feels totally different from the rest of the board it's lighter, looser, mushier, and doesn't feel nearly as rock solid as the rest of this black Filco. It makes a plastic scraping noise and I can feel friction as well.
Other than that this keyboard is unbelievable smooth, especially the spacebar... soo good.
Pop it off and check the stabilizers? I'm just apprehensive and I don't have any lube(lol).
