I was able to snag a Model M off ebay for 25 dollars shipped! I purchased it not knowing the model number or condition. I had been watching this listing (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=290531612889&si=tdYFYKl3JTfk%252B6SFGwQOP%252FYvUO4%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT) and missed out on throwing a bid at it. I really didn't want the "CPU" as it has a blown HHD and power supply. I figured it might be worth it just for the keyboard itself. After the auction ended I noticed it went unsold. A sent off a msg to the seller and offered 25 for the keyboard. He bit. I got the keyboard in 2 days and it is a mint '91 Model M 1391401, The cord is perfect and the case and keys cleaned up like new.
I checked today and he had relisted (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300528523150&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:VRI) the computer without the keyboard at the same price.
All's fair in love and eBay.

Thanks for telling us I guess.
(Wouldn't that fit in the "In the mail" section?`)
