Kinda funky looking... Y'all think this is original or did somebody maybe do a key swap?
-
WordStar, not WorldStar.
-
WordStar, not WorldStar.
Fixed.
EDIT: Can't edit the title, someone correct me if I'm wrong.
-
This one is quite old, from '87.
-
Sold for $247. Wow, maybe I should put some of mine up for sale. I bought six of these Wordstar SSKs three months ago for around $60 each. Not bad if I could sell them for a 300% profit.
-
Things like that make me wonder just how small of the mech keyboard using population is on this here forum.
-
For this keyboard I would say 82% of the bidders are on this forum somehow. thats a lot.
-
ripster i won this keyboard. shill bidding does exist. ive made over 20k on ebay shill bidding cars. there was only 1 of my kind of car for sale in the country at a specific time, just like there is only 1 ssk available per week. i can make an ssk auction appear to sell at $500 if i wanted to.
-
if you day trade you can affect actual stock price with one set of large bids. your buying creates the demand. if you throw 1 million into a stock like netflix in .1 second you will see the chart jump on msnbc, guaranteed.
-
lol ripster i meant i could put one up for sale and have 2 bidders dual it out til the end and sell it to neither of them. i could also have 1 extra bidder and buy that nib and be out 500 because of stupidity. that can also occur....
-
i will never bite that apple. bill gates 4 lyfe. thug lyfe.
-
ripster my pinkies were harmed a long time ago. i cant type with them.
-
in terms of efficiency. i have a vast knowledge of reed kellog diagramming and linguistics and prose study. capital letters are overated. if this was microsoft word my text would look great. but its not.
-
lol if you say a bubble is happening the chance of it happening increase. i am just increasing the chance to create the bubble as well.
-
whats the harm if i troll and it comes out. i will feel my troll was successful regardless of my actual impact. its not like im mw and doing it for fun. i want a usb ssk with black case and black keys dang it.
-
lol ya ripster that is a picture of me. and im in a $1600 pot and loving life.
-
about .1% as much as u lol ... i read as much as u though.
-
and i forget 0's
-
i get my full share of geek on in here. i dont wanna over do it.
-
damn. free is free. you got me there.
a site that uses forums to promote product placement as well as product development AND sells all the stuff is a good idea.
-
This is how Ripster tries to get rid of forum trolls. So far its actually kinda worked.
MW (RIP)

i guess there can be only one. whatever the eff that means.

I truly enjoy seeing Ripster and kill will going at one another. I don't know whether it is the frustration from Ripster at times or the enthusiastic approach from Kill Will to prove a point. I don't know, I just find it refreshing.
If I'm not mistaken, kill will used to write lengthier posts though.
Keep it up.

Probably not the greatest idea to admit to shill bidding in the same post as you identify yourself as being a particular bidder.
-
i am not making a large profit on any of my keyboard shill bidding. i am probably break even or minus a few hundred. i just like to see how the price structure works on an expired us product with newly listed global demand.
-

ibm m15?
-
you can read minds over the internet. it is very easy. thats why i love online poker. most people only use their right pointer to play. i use like 4 different devices to play.
look at the bid history of this model m to see how i got it for the price i wanted with the second bidder bid approaching it as closely as i wanted. i have no affiliation whatsoever with the second highest bidder. i swear to god on that.
i paid that much because i only have 1 ssk right now and because i wanted to pay that much for this exact one. so technically no shill bidding occurred on this auction. i bid like i play heads up 5 card no limit draw poker. for fun.
-
sam .. ya the ibm was minus about 320. i made some on m13s and realforces though. no biggie.
-
I could feel your pain from here on the M15. I kept wondering what happened with that. Guess the M15 buyers all maxed out their bank accounts on the previous big sales, causing the market for them to tank. In that case there was a very limited number of them available, but appears shill bidding didn't help.
-

Unless the second highest bidder was a shill bidder and playing you...with you thinking you were reading his mind, when in fact he was reading yours. :)
-
no the timing was waaaaaaaay off .. people didnt have christmas funds. and my ad sucked. i gave a good deal to a gh member.
ripster ... this wont make sense to you, but if i did an initial bid of 250 then i would have won the auction at a much lower price.
-
thats why i say heads up bidding wars is a tough game to decide if the seller is in on it. at $250 i can afford a loss for the information i gain.
-
my ad sucked.
Guess no more Christmas kitties in your ads then? All the cat haters probably stayed away, not only due to being repulsed by seeing the cat in the ad, but for fear the inside of the keyboard was full of cat hair.
-
no u cant live off poker winnings alone.
-
either i got shill bid, or i correctly guessed the second highest bidders utility on the product. either way if and when i sell my next ibm the price demand will be higher. the same thing occurs in many markets, people dont realize it or are foreign to the concept.
-
ripster to answer your question about how to bid $1 less than what the highest bidder will bid, you have to look at their history.
and if you guessed wrong you just sold yourself a keyboard lol
-
How shill-bidding ACTUALLY works:
"I'm gonna shill bid this item so the price goes up. Haha, suckers."
"Oh wait, I won the auction." :(

-
ripster i bid on it. how high i bid will depend on the condition of the weather. i doubt i will win it nor bid over 300 dollars.
-
keyboard lover u are missing the point. i didnt raise my hand and say 247. there was a second bidder willing to spend 2 dollars less than me. that is the interesting part. not me winning or not.
-
Okey Dokey.
Put your money where your mouth is and make this one go to $500. (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=16013)
Noooo please don't! I want this for myself!

tennobanzai. never show your cards unless someone shoots you.
