Title: eBay: Chicony Clicky Keyboard KB-5191 New Old Stock.
Post by: J888www on Mon, 28 February 2011, 13:39:15
For those who can afford the seller's price, this Kbd should have Cherry MX Clears/Whites (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270713230535&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123#ht_500wt_1156).
According to a certain member "Seventy Minus Ten" from what sources I cannot imagine but most reliable, these switches will soon become rare as they will no longer be manufactured.

No. The KB-5191s do not have Cherry MX "Clears". They have Fake Cherries (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=9256), that happen to be clicky, with a white stem ... or if you are lucky, genuine Cherry MX "Blue", depending on when they were made.

IIRC, it should be where as to MX "Blue" = Made in China, but IMBW though.

I have one with the Cherry blue's, its an ok board.
In fact for the price I gave a very good board.

But I dont think one could ever be worth more than 30~40 quid.
