Title: Modded Reuters Keyboard /w Clear switches
Post by: calavera on Tue, 01 March 2011, 07:18:55
For sale is a modded Reuters keyboard.

The springs were switched out for 55g springs I believe but I forgot the details because it was long ago. Closer to blue/brown switches in pressure but is tactile like white/clear switches. Kinda hard to describe it.

Keyboard is the one on top right. Will take more pics upon request to serious buyers. :)

-White/clear switches with softer 55g springs
-Laser key caps
-US layout

Has been in storage for most of it's life. It was modded but never used so no yellowing whatsoever. Practically brand new. :)

Asking $125 +shipping. CONUS only. Selling to fund other stuff in the future.

They are 2 key rollover, like any non special G80-3000. These are awesome switches though. Clear + 55g Korean springs = win.

ok if you say do it must be, this must explain the price
but still very expensive don't you think?

I'm considering buying a cherry clear keyboard but ...

This is the asking price, but yes I won't ship overseas as shipping will be insane. :(

Maybe you appreciate this value too much ....
I mean it's an old keyboard, even if like new, with clear cherries, no more "à la mode", with an awful logo, and not tenkeyless.

I may be tempted but it's way too expensive. Moreover i'm beyond the great ocean. ;-P

Hope for you it will sell.
Good luck

Actually you guys have no idea on the value of vintage boards, but that is another thing and discussion about that should not belong into this thread. In the end I have to agree to the discussion in the Realforce 55g thread. People who do not like the price should PM the seller and see if anything can be done, but keep the thread clean.

The price is good, just not for this community.

For good measure, here is the same board in an even older variant without windows keys and unmodified switches:

Sold for $162 2 weeks ago. Problem? Move on.

nope. They've been used elsewhere.
