Hi there.
I'm using an Apple Extended II M3501 keyboard. It's in perfect working order, though the only issue I have concerns the keyboard's outside case. Sometimes when I'm typing, I hear a rattle sound which is caused by the case vibrating. It's as though the casing is a little loose.
A quick fix for this is to push down on the case - like I'm putting it back in place sort of thing.
Does anyone have any tips on how to possibly remedy this? As far as I can see, the case does not look to be coming apart or anything like that. It's as though it needs a little tweak somewhere??
Cheers.
Jas.

You could maybe open the case, and put everything back together. I don't seem to have the same problem on mine.

I just opened an AEK II a couple of hours ago. After seeing the inside, I'm not sure what could be rattling. Is it from the area of the height adjustment? Is your height adjustment functioning or could a spring have come loose?
The case halves fit together quite snugly, there is one screw and lots of snaps. The keyboard unit itself is bolted together and snaps into the plastic casing. Perhaps one of your interior screws that holds the keyboard mechanism itself together is loosening?
Either way, you're going to have to take something apart to find the source of the rattle, I think.
