Physically, I don't see any different between an US layout and a Chinese layout, except the legends on the keycaps. I'm going to use another keycap set anyway so those legends don't matter.
But I'm afraid that the controller between those two are different, Chinese characters will be output by default.
Anyone here bought a Chinese layout of Filco Majestouch before? Can you confirm this?

LOL, this is an OS character layout setting. Keyboards don't recognize languages.

I'm afraid that it's somehow like hard-wired Dvorak keyboard, where the layout actually embedded in the keyboard controller...

I'm typing on a chinese-layout Ducky right now. It's just the key caps, there are no hard-wired differences. You can always swap the keycaps if you don't want the chinese characters on your keyboard.

Do NOT however press this key. (http://www.overclock.net/images/ocnDucky.swf?1)
I press that Ducky key many times a day, and nothing bad (nor good) ever happens.
