Title: Modern Mechanical Keyboards
Post by: Phaedrus2129 on Sun, 06 March 2011, 19:48:09
I've been trying to compile a list of all mechanical keyboards that are readily available (or will be shortly, like Leopolds) in North America. Tell me if there are any I've missed.

Modern Mechanical Keyboards
ABS M1 (discontinued)
Adesso MKB-125B
Adesso MKB-135B
Cherry G80-11900
Cherry G80-3000 (discontinued)
Cherry G80-3494
Cherry G80-8113
Cherry G80-8200
Cherry G84-4100
Cherry G84-4500
Das Professional S
Das Professional S Ultimate
Deck 82
Deck Legend
DSI ACK-6600
DSI ASK-6600
DSI Big Font keyboard
DSI Modular Mac
Ducky DK9008 OCN edition
Filco
Filco Tenkeyless
Happy Hacking Professional 2
iOne Scorpius M10
iRocks KR-6230 (discontinued)
Kinesis Advantage
Leopold Tenkeyless FC200RC
Maltron Dual Hands 2D
Maltron Dual Hands 3D
Matias Tactile Pro 3.0
Optimus Maximus
Razer BlackWidow
Razer BlackWidow Ultimate
Rosewill RK-9000
SIIG JK-US0112-S1
Steelseries 6Gv2
Steelseries 7G
Thermaltake Meka G1
Topre Realforce 103U
Topre Realforce 86u
Unicomp Customizer
Unicomp Endurapro
Unicomp SpaceSaver
XArmor U9BL
XArmor U9BL-S
Zowie Celeritas

I'm not counting the Truly Ergonomic because it will probably be at least three months before any hit market, assuming it's not a scam. Probably longer. And I'm not including the other XArmor models I know about because I'm apparently no longer privy to that information and I don't know if their plans have changed. And I'm not including anything that has to be acquired through Taobao, since that's hardly "readily available".

"Modern" is slightly misleading isn't it? I'd just say readily available mech. keyboards. This would be even more awesome if price and/or link of said keyboard was also shown. Just sayin' :)

I'm planning to expand it with pictures, pricing, links to stores, switch type, and features.

And good idea for the naming.

I believe you left out some Deck and Das models, honestly. Two each or so, assuming they're not currently sold out.

This is an interesting reminder of all the nice things readily available in the WIKI... I didn't knew it either before following Ripster links.

Thanks OP ;-)

I'm working on a Google Doc for it, that can be embedded in a web page later. Anyone interested in helping me out with this, shoot me a PM.

No CVT Avant Stellar?

It's descended from the old Northgate Keyboards.

Just found out that they've stopped selling them recently. That's a shame. :(
