why not just put it on ebay right now and set a reserve?
I think this is a fair offer.
Hey watch your mouth! :)
Douchebags everywhere. I'm suprised that you are suprised.
What I find hilarious, is some guy (JohnBlaze) coming on the forum and blasting away at another forum member for offering to ship a Canadian a keyboard, simply because his jerkoff self was trying to make money selling it to Canadians.
What a ****ing prick.
I thought you were antisocial.
You are hanging around here way too much.

I dunno...to me it reads like he wants to screw over some poor Canadian.

Good thing E-Bay insures their money if I turn out to be a crook. That said, at least you don't seem as naive as other people on this board who hand over their money to anyone on this forum with over 50 posts (that's a sincere compliment).
You never know if there's an impatient Canadian gamer out there who offers me a ridiculous amount of money because he wants one ASAP.
Whenever I open up my auctions to ROW it's amazing how many offers I get from Nigeria. Double the price if I close the auction early too.Show Image(https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/radImages/consumer/forgery.jpg)
Good question. I just received it and therefore might change my mind over the next week, however that's unlikely to happen if I find there's considerable demand for it. You never know if there's an impatient Canadian gamer out there who offers me a ridiculous amount of money because he wants one ASAP.

What are you? The Nerd Police? You sound like every other hormonal, adolescent gamer I've ever met.
Thanks for your replies.
Thanks! Looks like I was right, lol:
Give me a break. Did you even notice I mentioned where the keyboard sells and at what prices? That alone gives people enough info to make a well informed decision. Did the exchange rates confuse you? Do me a favor and stop flooding this thread with unintelligent posts.
Ok so let's get this straight..
You come on here, with a ridiculous auction format sale post that's really for no other reason than to gauge how much you'll get - so you can decide over the next week whether or not it's worth keeping??
This thing is that this is a community...the Classifieds are typically thought of a way for community members to help each other out by buying and selling items - not looking for ways to make a profit. So I think the issue is that you're coming off like you want to make a profit here and OF COURSE nobody is going to like that!
Sorry, I promised I wouldn't post anymore. That's my last one.
I swear.

You'll be relieved to know I never planned to return here after selling it, anyway, especially after learning how many people troll For Sale threads.
Haha. You pay 160 for it from amazon, where anyone else in the us can get it, then try to say it's worth what someone would pay from the uk with ****ty exchange rates and high shipping costs. Sod off. I live in the us and still paid keyboard co to ship it to me, rather than amazon, because they provide top notch service. They deserve the sale. Theyve earned it. You haven't. If anyone can get their hands on it right now, it's not exactly rare. You have no business trying to charge a premium. Get out of our forum.
Seriously, this is ludicrous. He's talking as if he's entitled to the sale. Threatening to leave as if we're missing out? Is this guy serious?
My keyboard is brand new from Keyboard Co. Amazon simply acted as their vendor. Even if it wasn't you should know that Keyboard Co still makes a profit as using Amazon saves them a lot of money.
I'm sorry you were out $100, as that could've been used to feed starving children in Africa.
After further thought, I don't think you're even supposed to use the Classifieds to list stuff in this manner. It just has a certain "bait and switch" type of nasty feeling to it. I reported the thread.
You know, E-Bay didn't become a billion dollar industry by taking advantage of people, right? People use it to buy items at discounted prices, and because public auctions prevent against private discrimination.
I'll be surprised if this thread gets closed for anything other than how ridiculous it's become, since I'm sure others will agree that auctions are more fair than shipping a board via first come first serve regardless the cost. If you disagree please see #9 of my original post for more details.
Entitled to a sale? I can return it for a full refund (minus shipping) within 30 days, but I thought someone here might find my offer mutually beneficial. Whether you disagree doesn't concern you.
Threatening to leave? Why? You'd be the only one who'd miss me. I simply said that thinking people might stop trolling this thread knowing I'd be gone in no time. But I change my mind, bc responding to such posts are providing good visibility.
Peace.
What he was trying to say is that Keyboard co, has a very good track record with shipping aka well packaged, secure in packaging and not moving around unlike amazon who pulls them from the shipping container and just throws it in a box with 2 air bubbles after receiving it from keyboardco.First off, while I admire your backing him up, that's obviously not what he meant given he said the Keyboard Co deserves the sale, implying that Amazon isn't affiliated with them. They are directly affiliated! Even if he were, like you said, only concerned about the shipping method, please consider the keyboard is being shipped from a distribution center in the united states where I live, and I'm sure that's just as safe as traveling all the way from the UK.
Honestly though I would just give it up if I were you, you came in and bad mouthed someone trying to do a genuine nice thing which actually happens on this forum quite a bit. To me even though I am very new here this place isnt just a forum its a community, 99% of the members are here because they are into keyboards and they like the other people, you just plain and simply do not see someone here starting a WTS thread talking about " We will start the bidding here " because most people just want to get some money back on a board they tried out to get to the next one. Speaking of that did you actually just buy the keyboard so you could resell it?
I was talking about your attitude. The pricing, I'll agree with some posters, isn't too out of hand, but you're talking as if you're doing a service to people (when, honestly, you're really not, because you're wanting to put this up for auction with the reserve price set at the price you paid for it, which means you're trying to get it priced more than you paid for, which means it's priced higher than other people can buy it for, which means, you're really not doing a service to people - did you get that?), and therefore is a reason for people to buy it off of you. Which is what I'm talking about; it reeks of self-entitlement.
But in a buyer/seller relationship, it doesn't work that way. A seller sets the price, and if a buyer likes it, he'll buy it. If not, he doesn't, and if the seller needs to sell it, will price it accordingly so that the buyer will.
But you, on the other hand, for some reason, keep trying to hammer it home that "it's worth it" and that you're "doing a service to people" with these ridiculous rationalizations (how much shipping costs, how much it costs on Keyboard co. while ignoring how much it costs on Amazon, which people have easy access to, how you could return it for a refund), instead of at least attempting to accommodate buyers' demands.
Yea, that reeks of entitlement.
And if I disagree, it absolutely concerns me. Because... I disagree? That's a pretty bigoted statement from you right there.
And finally, well, I misread that last statement about you leaving. But, to our credit, it still was a jab at everyone posting in this thread, labeling them as "trolls", when a vast majority of the people here seem to see it the other way around.

No, moron, what I was saying was that KBC earned the sale. You didn't. You opened the keyboard. It's not rare. Therefore, it loses value as it's been handled, and you're asking for a premium. KBC is a great company to work with and I was happy to make sure the extra markup went to them. This is how I do things. If a company offers great service, I will continue to do business with them, even if I have to pay more. You, however, have quickly established a reputation as a douchebag and I wouldn't buy a board from you if it were free and all I had to pay was shipping. So don't talk about what I obviously meant, when obviously everyone understood what I meant except you. Stop trying to sound like you're being altruistic. Good keyboards are not a necessity. They sure as hell don't qualify for a welfare mentality. Omg think of the children.
Why would I sell it for less than what I paid for it?!?!? Hauling my ass to the post office and dealing with customs is indeed a service, and I obviously need some incentive considering I could just return it! I'm re-iterating that because I never claimed to be doing ANYONE a favor, but if anything I did help spread the word that this board is 40% off at Amazon.com. Did it occur to you that I could've made more money by simply withholding that information? So why would I include it? Maybe so people knew all of their options, unlike the guy who paid $100 more not realizing Keyboard Co & Amazon were actually affiliated?
And I didn't call everyone trolls. There've been 3-4 constructive comments from users who actually helped me with my decision to buy my Filco and soon the HHKB or Realforce 86u.
I read that Cherry switches went obsolete this year. Why do you think they're priced more than other color switches? Please do your homework before replying.
