I purchased these two keyboards off Ebay specifically for their double-shot keycaps:
G81-7910HPBUS-2
G81-7000HPBUS-2
Now that I've stripped them, I feel bad just tossing them. One of them even came new in box with the manual and CD. Are they worth listing on Classifieds for the cost of shipping?

I doubt you will sell them. I tried giving away MY keyboards for free, no one wanted them. I recycled over 50 of them this morning actually.

You can make keychains from the switches and a cleaver from the steel plate. Mylar sheets can be used as rooftops in a greenhouse... What else... Wires are good for whipping?
-
Shucks. Guess I'll toss them in the recycle pile.

I buried my lone G81 (-7000, lasered keys, bought for $1 to try the card reader) in a spares cabinet at the office.

The springs are semi-interchangeable with alps. You can use the MY springs in alps switches, but the alps springs can't be used in the MY switches because the fully compressed alps springs are still too long for the MY switches. The MY switches can't activate.

don't feel bad. I tossed one after stripping it and leaving it with the Chinese-lettered caps from my G80-3000. also tossed 3 Dell AT101Ws that day. didn't have much of a choice, or any spare room at that point. sometimes you just have to part with things. they ARE just "things," after all!

I sold 2 sets of those G80-3000 keycaps on here for $15 + shipping each =)

Yeah, I certainly don't want to waste space on something I know isn't worth anything to me.

@ruumis
What? Plenty of people would take those Dell's for the price of shipping. No reason to just toss perfectly good mech boards.
