This is absolutely magical! It's an extremely small micro abrasive that cleans super well. It works wonders for cleaning dirty keyboards and keys. It also helps get rid of greasy keys.

Really...
I use this stuff for getting scuffs off the wall.
Keyboards too now?

Be warned that it is abrasive, so you might create a dull spot on your keyboard, and don't clean your Das with it! Might be good for unpolishing shiny keys though.
Also, DEET dissolves some kinds of plastic, so be careful with your use of mosquito repellent when using a telescope. You could ruin an expensive eyepiece!

Yes, it is a mild abrasive, don't use it on polished keyboards like the DAS line!!! However it work's extremely well on my IBM Model M.

Would it work as a shiny-keys-begone product, or it's not quite that abrasive?
-
Not sure, I've never tried. But you could try it on the side of a key to see if it works.
I had a pair of fake wayfarer rayban sunglasses that were quite glossy. I took the Made in China print of it using alot of force with the magic eraser. Made the area not as shiny.
