Over the course of 6 months, I have bought five mechanical keyboards.
Noppoo
Razer Blackwidow
PLU ML-87
TG3 82
Filco Majestouch
I have sold all of them except for my Filco.
The Filco fits my wants for a keyboard to the dot. I have ordered some keycaps for my Filco and plan on making it into Clear otaku with some random keys on it as well.
The only thing I could possibly ask for is to try a Topre.
I found my perfect keyboard, What do now?

At least you've sold your other keyboards. We have plenty of members with multiple keyboards that are just sitting unused for most of the times. I'm one of those people.

Pick up a hobby. Like curling (http://odd.gonzojenny.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/japanese-curling.jpg). (NSFW)

I don't like girlie curling. Mr. Uusipaavalniemi here can show you what real Curling is.

Leave Geekhack is the only rational move at this point.
It rarely works though.
am I banished? =[

Ripster, do you really prefer your Filco with browns to your Realforce 87U??
That's craziness.
-
Having previously owned a Filco with browns I must wholeheartedly disagree. But to each their own =)
-
We'll see how I like the Realforce. I really hope I like it a lot, so I could better justify the price.
-
Hmm, I don't have Realforce, still I'm not touch typer...

You better start learning. It makes typing so much more enjoyable.

I think the end-game for us is eventually we'll have to build our own custom boards. It's surprising that there isn't a small-run fab shop that specialises in it. A lot of it is probably fairly standardized work compared to some custom electronics work (mostly through-hole, a few big SMD parts, so no big deal)
