Hello there! I'm fairly new to this, so forgive this basic question. I searched pretty hard and I couldn't find an answer, though I wouldn't be surprised if I somehow passed it by.
I'd like to purchase non-blank keycaps for a tenkeyless filco majestouch, and for a majestouch 2 red. What are good sources for this? I'd like to replace certain keys (not just wasd) with contrasting colour key caps.
Will any cherry keycaps work? If so, I can't figure out where to buy these anyway :)
thanks!

Welcome to geekhack!
Check out the thread on KBC coloured keycaps in the group buy section.

Thanks.
That thread is incredibly difficult to follow so far though :(

The funny thing is, WhiteRice's group buy was SO simple and straightforward. He did an amazing job.

TBH, I find some of the group buys here difficult to follow also. I think I joined one of them (my first group buy) and that fell apart. lol

I'm sorry I missed out on that one, I'd love to have a set of those Dolch keys. Hopefully that one will be resurrected someday.

I just signed up for my first group buy. A little confused about all the odds and ends but I bet it will turn out great.
-
Aside from new keys getting added daily, 7bit has been doing a great job and has been pretty helpful with any questions.

It already has been (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=13664).
The base kit is exactly the same. It just has a LOT of other options you can add on as well.

I should have read that thread more closely. It was the million options that was throwing me, I was making the process more difficult than it really is.

Well in your defense it's not really clear when you read it either :D

Well, I've put in an order.
Or I think I have, anyway.

As long as you pmed 7bit_vote as explained in the voting instructions, you should be fine.

Oh God those threads confuse the bejeezus out of me. I have tried and failed to wade into it and establish whether or not I wanted to buy 3 times now. Just don't think it's going to happen, so I'll assume either I've got awful reading comprehension, it's weirdly written, or that everyone is just pretending they know what they are ordering ;)
Probably don't need to make a purchase right now, as I'm still scared to mess with keys with stabilizers :(
-
I know exactly what I want to purchase, and being somewhat of a newbie I'm still really confused.
Gah.
The sad part is, I've run a number of group buys for software. I'm completely familiar with the format, but the product here is baffling me.

Hmm, so how the longest thread on geekhack can't be bit confusing, as it goes with a few other threads... Also, some geekhackers are somewhat prone of derailing...
Still, quite a lot of options, though some of the won't happen, like those red-blanks look quite grimm :(
-
I really wanted to get in on group buy 2 and 3 but they end up so complicated that I don't even want to "touch" them... I really wish someone would do a simple group buy without 20 different threads overflowing with ridiculousness.
I know that the people running these are trying to help, I'm guessing they probably aren't making much (if anything) off of these so I hate to complain, but yeah.. A mess...
-
Still, products which aren't yet produced are bit hard to get exact picture. Can end up like anything as seen on IBM-keys...
-
I personally thought imsto canceling the poker group buy without any reason seemed suspicious and weird.
-
My biggest gripe is the description of each "package" is pretty vague. Even some of the pictures aren't really that explanatory.

Most Geeks make terrible sales people. That's why they are programmers.
But, but, but marketing is evil...
Trying to get back to coding...
