Post by: BigBrother on Tue, 15 March 2011, 18:08:53
A few weeks ago, I order a Westinghouse Keyboard (http://cgi.ebay.com/Westinghouse-Keyboard-Assembly-W1642-NCR-/320657255242?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aa8a96b4a) from kpsurplus (http://stores.ebay.com/KPsurplus?_trksid=p4340.l2563). (20$/ea for 2)
I received them today!

strange key columns
(http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/3295/1002330x.jpg) (http://img820.imageshack.us/i/1002330x.jpg/)
an ignore key! Even an ET shortcut. :O

I'll need help with this connector if it doesn't work in my eMachines linux box.

I'd be happy with some info if there is any.

There's a "FONE" key, and Ignore?  I think this is the most awesome set of I keys I have ever seen.  Have you tried pulling a cap to see what is below?  You should post a pic of any labels or serial numbers of the board.  If it doesn't have any, there should be something useful written on it's PCB (I'm almost certain that it has one).

He pulled a key.  Some weird linear I bet.

oh, and there's a light-blue coated spring on the key column. without the spring, there's nothing holding the key up at all.

Oops... Guess I should look at all of the pictures.  I was probably blinded by the light from my WHITE keyboard.

The "Keytronic" on the switch is a big hint.

Interesting, most of the Keytronic foam'n'foils I've seen had the spring underneath the keycap around the switch stem.
