im 90% sure this is a rubber dome

edit: just to clarify. This is NOT a rubber dome. My original post was based on two boards I own with similar stems using rubber domes. Pictures below.

Round SMKs, rather pleasant to type on. I have an older version of this board, the soldering isn't very good. Comes with doubleshots that look like they're Cherry compatible, but don't fit very well.

Actually, this board may be older than mine. I'd say $20 is a fair price to ask.

found one in my collection.
This is a Preh Commander PC-AT3. A PC compatible board with beautiful dark grey on grey doubleshot keys, and what i was hoping would be SMK switches...See for yourself.

Take a good look at the pictures before jumping to conclusions. How many rubber dome implementations do you know are soldered onto a PCB?

Yes, a little too quick on the trigger, nonetheless based on personal experience.

There are actually keyboards with individual rubber dome switching modules (Alps made some) but they are rather rare.

Whats this?

Laser keyboard, clicky switches which feel just like cherry blues.  Double shot keys.  Big backspace but funny enter.  This keyboard is great, a very good cheap alternative to traditional cherry blue keyboards.  I had one of these, love it, gave it to my brother.

Sorry Ascaii, but those "switches" in your pic are completely different. Besides, LASER boards have a long history with round SMKs and I think it's unlikely that the seller is mistaken about the switches being clicky and mechanical.

I wouldn't say they feel just like Cherry blues. IMO, the click is of a much lower pitch and the tactile leaf implementation makes it feel closer to ALPS than Cherry blue.

Interesting, wouldn't be a bad buy then.

Btw those keycaps look like they might fit a cherry switch?

Like I said, you can try, but they might not fit securely as it seems the SMK's stem is a little bit thicker than the Cherry's. Also, despite being doubleshots, that font is FUGLY.

Guys, I'm not arguing that the laser has rubber domes...maybe i should edit my first post to stop confusing you folks that don't follow my line of thought. The laser board definitely uses smk switches, my posts are just a word of caution to not assume any board with those stems uses smks.

A bit of a resurrection. But I have this keyboard (typing on it now) and can confirm that they are Cherry compatible. I just received some Cherry MX compatible keycaps and they fit like a glove on these switches.
And have to agree with REVENGE, the default keycaps definitely have a FUGLY font (and odd placement). Now typing on blank keys and loving it :D
