Hey GHers,

I saw this article today and thought it was great. No matter what age you are, or whether you're in school or in the professional world, I think there are a lot of great tips here:

9 Things Successful People Do Differently (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/heidi-grant-halvorson-phd/success-strategies_b_833464.html)

Enjoy!

I like personal development/productivity stuff in general, however I think a few great tips just by itself are not powerful enough to make someone successful.

I like Simpleology (http://www.simpleology.com/), because it is a great system, and as the name suggests it is simple.

I also highly recommend you to check out Steve Pavlina's personal development blog (http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/).

For some reason, while reading this, I kept thinking about how to be successful at SC2...

I guess all the concepts apply for the most part.

Thats the 10th commandment. It has nothing to do with success.

You're just a confused Panda

Have you been in India?

Couple of times I went, I notice this...
If you don't pay attention in a line up, someone will fill the gap between you and the next guy as soon as you make space.

I suspect the Indians think you are more successful if you get served first.

Hikes... Every now and then I see those drinks in local exotic stores. Now I know why I should never try one. If people in need don't want them. I don't want them either.

I don't think you quite got the point of the vending machine example.

I actually do... It was meant to be a joke on how horrible these things taste. I'm aware that the notion of civism out there is much stronger than in North America.

I've seen what Americans are capable after watching lootings in the news during hurricane Katrina.

I'm sure I could find an example for your country.

I was just saying what it can looks like after seeing the Katrina news.

Of course, here's an example from my own town.

Civism in Japan is a second nature. You don't see that anywhere else in the world. I got your point... Believe me.

I was just teasing the American who puts a lot of foreign countries in his jokes.

The most important thing to do to be successful is steal people's idea's, cleverly market them as your own, pay other people to menial tasks, and create a duopoly, in which you are the monopoly.

The Divine People found this amusing.

This is one of the reasons I am very fearful of crowded places.

I can't believe the inhumanity people have for free ****. I mean, people get trampled to death by some idiot trying to get $5 off at Walmart on some stupid toy every "Black Friday".

Cue 1 - It's been targetted numerous times by Ripster's jokes.
Cue 2 - English is not my mother language.

NOTE to Ripster - It's all good. I laugh at most of your jokes even when they are about my country.

Ouch...

That's the easy way.

There is also the ethical way. Which I prefer. More challenging but also far more rewarding when you succeed.

Be careful what you say Panda-R. I'm sure you didn't mean no harm. My wife is a Sasquatch and she thinks what you just wrote is offensive.

Easy on the Bigfoot comments... He's a relative of her.

Anyhoo back to topic.

My belief after this tax season is you need two people to help you be successful (especially if you have lots of .. ahem... unreported income):

Good CPA + Good Lawyer

Yes Watson, you did.

THIS IS RULE #10
Atually lets make it clear. This is Rule #1 of the 9 rules above. Which make it 10 total.

But chances are that you don't need a CPA or a Lawyer when you are a kid. The 9 rules are good at all ages. Minding for success starts at an early age.

Sweet MILF of God... I want to enjoy life with her.
(Has long as Panda-R doesn't find her before me.)

First thing I would do is feed her... She needs to gain 10-20 pounds.
Then fade to black... Few years later, you see her with 3 ugly kids that looks just like their father.

I'm not a big fan of castrating chicks with authority complex. I like a good balance of power.

(51% for the man and the rest of the shares are split between wife and kids)

Kidding.
