I have [strike]145[/strike] [strike]127[/strike] [strike]112[/strike] 47 Cherry MX Red PCB-mounted switch tops for sale.
This includes the stem, spring and top case housing. Perfect for solder-less switch-swapping on PCB-mounted cherry mx switch boards (http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=Island:12790).
Basically, without soldering you can swap these right onto your PCB-mounted cherry mx keyboard and instantly try a new switch! That includes the Poker keyboard (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=16163)!
Asking $1 ea. plus shipping. CONUS only please.
[strike]In addition I have 30 extra cherry red stems (just the stem). I can sell those for $0.25 each.[/strike] These have sold.
Fyi, the springs that cherry reds use are the same as the springs from cherry blues and browns.
***UPDATE*** I also have [strike]101[/strike] 68 cherry mx blue stems available (no springs) for $0.25 each plus shipping.

The housing tops are the same on all cherries as far as I know. I would probably consider bying them if, I were in the US.. but wouldn't it make more sense to only sell the stems and springs? Anyone swapping them could use their old tops, and you would still have the full housings.
-
I may be interested in around 40 of them a bit later this week, will check back and see if any are left by then.
-
Fair enough; I will sell them without the switch tops if that is preferred.
Edit the total is now 127. OP updated.

The 30 extra stems have sold. The rest are still available (stems+springs+switch tops).

*bump*
127 Cherry MX Red stems/springs still for sale! Great for modding your Poker or any other PCB-mounted Cherry MX keyboard! No soldering required!
-
Damn, CONUS only :-(
Oh well, I only wanted two or three, just to say I've got some ;-)

Sorry KL,
I was going to buy some of the reds but I picked up my Linear R finally.
-
quick question, can you do this solder-less switch swapping with plate mounted switches as well?
-
No, you have to desolder them from the plate first, then solder them back in.
-
You have to desolder them from the PCB.

I picked up my Linear R finally.
I prefer Linear B
-
\KL, I still think you should put the stems and springs in an altoid tin box and a padded envelope and ship them to me, can't be that much hassle. I will of course pay all the expenses.
-
Where are you located?
-
Stockholm, (Sweden, Europe, in case there are others..)

I prefer Linear B
Shouldnt you be on the catbus

How many would you want?
-
I was thinking enough for a full size board plus a few spares. So somewhere around 110, but I'll be happy to take them all if you think it will be hard to get rid of the last odd ones.
-
... but I'll be happy to take them all if ...
Maybe I could buy a few from you if that happens :-)
