I've checked and rechecked the dip switches on my HHKB cough*lite*cough. I can't get my computer to recognize anything that I've plugged into the USB ports. I've tried Windows and Linux. Are there any tricks to getting it work? Is there something I'm missing or should I try to deal with an RMA?

Have you tried the keyboard on multiple ports?
Can you plug a flash drive or other USB device and see if it is recognized?
-
Try with a mouse plugged into HHKB. Only low-power devices work.

I tried two different mice and a usb drive. Multiple ports on the computer too. I guess I just got a bad one.

Wow. For $275 I'd expect it to be better tested than a Das.
OP said Lite.

At least he got arrows.

At least he got arrows.
HHKB1 (Japanese) has arrows. People must just be ISO enter haters...
-
Where IS the HHKB3?
That will be the most risky endeavor in keyboard business - half the people will complain about arrows being there/not there, the other half about the opposite.

I like spacebars at least a 10th the length of my penis.
And twice the width.

Space Bar!

Ripster, thank you for trolling my first post. I can now see how you got to 30,000+ posts.

Yes. I fixed it by getting a mouse with a longer usb cable. (It was time for a new one anyway.)

Did the mouse light up, even though it wasn't moving your cursor*?
Also, nice quadruples bro.

No wonder why nothing is working properly for you.

The first time I plugged in the USB drive if flashed once. Nothing else has lit up.
Thank you for noticing my quadruples.
