I've been agonizing myself as I've perused through this great site for answers on which is best to pick between the upcoming leopold or these filcos. I do like the blue LEDs on the filcos, the standard spacebar, and possibly the inclusion of a key removal tool and the red WASD keys. Since I know a lot of you have the brown filco tenkeyless from keyboardco, did they include those tools? Been a tough decision and still on the fence between the two. The detachable keyboard isn't a big deal to me. Anyone else undecided?

pretty sure the red wasd and the new key puller were listed as special items included in the majestouch-2 with red switches. one would conclude that they're not included with the regular majestouch boards. keyboardco however does sell the red wasd and new keypuller separately.

this man/woman is CORRECT!

I got a brown tenkeyless recently and it came with just the keyboard and the adapter

Thanks for the reply! I'm sure I don't necessarily "need" the key puller. Has to be a way to MacGuyver it. I shall look through this site for the answer.

I recommend the puller. I used so many paper clips trying to get a key off just to see if I could.

I've bought and received two unobtainable Filcos since I ordered the plentiful Leopold. There's that to consider too...

Yeah, the Filco brand is strong and does not seem to be going anywhere.

I used my hands on my Filco to get key off ;D

lol good to hear about the ability to manhandle the keys. I'm really anxious to see when this thing is going to be released. Should be any day now while I pull my hair out. Just so ready to get rid of this Lycosa..... you have no idea.

Having used paperclips in the past, I highly recommend the Filco keypuller. I got one with my Linear R and just spent an hour replacing all my keys with blank ones, and didn't mar a single key.

I use a file organizer instead of a paperclip. The two pronged aluminum file holders. Make just like a paperclip puller. This one will be wider where it pulls the keys and thinner to get in between the keys better.
Still ghetto, but wont mar the keys.

I use paperclips for removing Cherry mx keycaps, and use two butter knives for removing topre keycaps.
Both works like a charm.

FWIW I ordered a filco tenkeyless red on amazon and the tools were not included. I returned it for a refund. :(
Trying to find a tenkeyless with reds now that amazon is out of stock.
-
You returned a keyboard because it didn't come with a keycap puller?

Lolz!

I've found on original Cherry kbs the keys are quite easy to pull off with fingers. But on the other brands using Cherry switches the keys seem a bit more difficult to pull (Ducky, Filco as examples).
