Yeah, a fellow Minnesotan.

Kind of eerie that I was looking for the same thing with no luck.

I was thinking about this though.  I haven't bought from them in awhile, but they were very reliable when i did.

You can try: http://cgi.ebay.com/HotLine-Games-Mouse-Bungee-Mouse-Cord-Clip-/130400038275?pt=Camera_Cables_Cords&hash=item1e5c72ad83#ht_2047wt_1230

I bought 2, one for me and one for the girlfriend.  Works well.

I considered getting one for my G500 but it's not needed.  Take a pack of playing cards (or anything cheap with weight), cut a 6"x1" strip of cardboard and hotglue perpendicular to the pack of cards, use clothespin to attach mouse cord to top of cardboard strip.  Leave enough slack for your range of movement.  Costs a whopping $2 to make and gives the same effect.

I simply place a machined piece of aluminium on the cable and it stays put. I guess anything weighing more than 150g can be used...

I always just gave it a little slack, and put a spindle of cds/dvds on it. I honestly didn't even know what a mouse bungee was before I saw this thread, haha...
