Title: Rapoo V5, another manufacturer jumped onboard with Cherr MX Black switches
Post by: Kacee on Thu, 31 March 2011, 12:14:24
SRP at about $100 (CNY600)
Maybe programmable (it has a funky looking software)
Neat design, I like the modern look without stupid glossy finish like Razer's
Use black switches

Nice pic set. Are Rapoo known to have good QC?

I'm not familiar with this brand.

Regardless of my brand loyalty, I'm not a fan of design rip offs.  For Razer's sake, I hope there is some affiliation between the two companies and that they didn't just get Rapoo'd (Yup, I said it).

EDIT: If I bought one of the two, I like the look and finish of this Rapoo V5 better than the black widow.

They generally offer affordable products with 'affordable' QC, they have a habit of Rapoo others well known product design like Dell SK-8115 (I think so) and some Logitech mice, this one sure is resembling the BlackWidow...

So, now that I looked through the whole photo album, I no longer think that it has anything in common with the black widow (other than the silouette).  The media keys in the top right make it seem more like a Ducky.

LOL, I can't believe that no one noticed their stabilizer (http://product.pcpop.com/000296132/Picture/004118168.html) implementation.

Thanks god they have it. It's just a fair compromise between the ANSI and ISO layout.
