Title: something afoot w/the keyboard co's Filcos on amazon?

"Cha-Jiku?  Kuro-Jiku?" What's all this, then? And the previously glowing 5-star reviews for the brown-switch tenkeyless vanished... to be replaced by some controversy (http://www.amazon.com/review/R2O5HTZWH1FW3L/ref=cm_cr_dp_cmt?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B001BR4NLI&nodeID=172282&tag=&linkCode=#wasThisHelpful).

Not sure what's happening here, but it certainly gives one pause before placing an order. Although it is good to see an official response from the company.

It shouldn't if someone knows what they want. The Keyboard Company has a stellar reputation. Since that's a fulfillment by Amazon setup, you have 30 days to do a return or exchange back to Amazon no questions asked anyways.

Could be a batch of lemons for all we know. I can guarantee you that all of those people will be taken care of one way or the other.

I believe "cha-jiku" is brown switch and "kuro-jiku" black switch. Anyway, it seems amazon is recategorizing the keyboards. Not really 100% sure. I bought the black switch version and had no issues with it.

Cha-Jiku = brown switch

Kuro-Jiku = black switch


Cha = brown
Kuro = black
Jiku = stem or in this case, switches

I dont understand the reviews?  some of them are before amazon was even selling filcos

I think you're exactly right. If you look closely, the ones with the bad reviews say "by FILCO (http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&search-alias=electronics&field-manufacturer=FILCO)" under the item name. The newer listings say "by The Keyboard Company (http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&search-alias=electronics&field-manufacturer=The%20Keyboard%20Company)" instead. Still can't find the brown tenkeyless that had all the positive 5-star reviews though.

Well I think I might have to go on amazon and give my filco tenkeyless with browns a 5 star review.
