Very interested in purchasing one of these. I can never seem to win one on ebay.

I don't think I've even seen any on eBay for a while now.  For the longest time there was at least one every week or so, but I don't recall even seeing one in the past month.  Maybe the start of another up-cycle for AT prices.

I've got about 15 of them, but not really looking to sell, especially not at the prices they were going for recently.

Well, the PC AT board is probably my overall favorite keyboard of all time.  I have two of them at all times on my desk for my two computers.  I only use another keyboard when I travel because it's too big to fit into my bag.  I don't want there to be any chance I'll ever run out of PC ATs.  I figure the main one I'm using now probably has about 25 years of use on it and still going strong.  If all of them last that long, it'll probably take me over 350 years to wear them all out.  Just in case I live that long, I figure I better be prepared. :)

Anyways, I guess I would be willing to part with one of them, but I wouldn't want to sell it for less than they go for on eBay, so just putting in a higher bid the next time one comes around is probably the best, unless someone else here has one they want to get rid of.

Ncbound10 on eBay lists them fairly regularly for around the $80 - $90 range, so keep an eye out there.  Only issue might be the excessive shipping charges of about $30 per keyboard.

You won't take $100? The one that just went this week on ebay went for like $70 plus shipping, I think you're wanting too much.

Yes, I've got one NIB, and one almost NIB.

First of all, if you notice trievalot's location, it's in Australia.  I don't think AT keyboards are all that common down under, so certainly $100 I think is a very fair price there.  I doubt though many people would want to pay for the shipping from there to the States.

Even for me, I doubt I'd sell one of mine for less than $100, simply because I'm not trying to initiate a sale.  If I had to replace one I sell, it would cost me about $100 including shipping, unless I got a good deal.

There was one on eBay this week?  I guess I must have missed it.  Maybe my filters ignored it, or it was under some unusual category or misspelled or missing tags.

But do you have the Warranty and Instructions card?

Back in the day they assumed you wouldn't get in a bathtub with your keyboard.

Not sure, I haven't opened my NIB.  My almost NIB though doesn't have them.

This is why I'm careful to put the final price in the "Great Buys" subforum whenever I post a find.

The historical record is useful.

And educational.

That gives me an idea.  It might be useful to have a subforum under the Great Buys, with one thread per each model number of keyboard, and whenever an item is sold (or goes unsold) on eBay or some other site, one of us can make a post there with the price it sold for and a brief description.  It could be a great reference tool for people wanting to look at historical price data if enough of us spent the time to add to it.  I often hesitate to post about certain items if I think other Geekhack members might be bidding on it, spoiling it for one who thinks they're going to snag it without anyone else noticing.  Or if I'm going to bid on it, I'll never start a thread on it.  After the bidding is finished though, I don't see any problems in posting about it if we have a proper forum.

I'm going to go and make a post about this in the feedback/suggestions forum, if anyone else thinks it's a good idea (or if you think it's a bad idea), probably better to discuss it there.

That sounds like a fine idea. Tis a strategy a assume most would employ.

Yeah, I totally didn't notice his location at all.

Filters? I guess I'm doing ebay the old fashioned way without noticing. Also, I can see wanting to keep all 15 that you already have. But buying even more seems a bit extreme when people are attempting to get one.

yes....we should also stop people who have houses from buying another so those without can get one.
We should also stop fat people eating so skinny people have more food.
What....you have a baby and have another on the way??? Give that one to the person next door without any kids!

Thank you for the straw man argument. All I was saying was that a giant collection of indestructible objects is unnecessary. Not that capitalism is stupid.

There's one up on eBay now.  The only problem might be that it comes together with the PC/AT computer, monitor, and a very desirable (and very expensive when new) PGA adapter.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270749052810 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270749052810)

This is probably the nicest PC/AT I've seen for sale.  I wouldn't mind getting it myself, but looks like plenty of others have seen it and it's going to go for big bucks.  Auction ends in less than 14 hours in case anyone's interested.

Well, in that case, bid on and win the whole system, keep the keyboard for yourself and I'll pay you $100 shipped for the computer and monitor. :)
