Not expensive, a little bit worn/yellow according to the pics.
It's 99% cherry brown.

Mine came in the same condition. I let them sit (with the case as well) in some water with dish washing fluid (the grease busting kind) overnight and they are like new now.

If anyone is looking for a first mech board, this is the one to get. You can get them really cheap, and it will help you decide what kind of switch you'd like before you spend $140 on a Filco and decide you hate blues...

I think I'd probably just use it for browns if I got it. I just hate the pointing devices on these, cause they'd be kinda in the way.

Is this the same keyboard but with german layout?

http://cgi.ebay.de/COMPAQ-AUSZIEHBARE-TASTATUR-SCHIENEN-F-SERVERSCHRANK-/310310799787?pt=DE_Computer_Peripherie_Netzwerk&hash=item483ff709ab

How's the trackball for this keyboard? Anything useable on high resolution monitors? Also what's up with the awkward delete button placement? The only way i could get around that would be remapping the tenkey zero into delete.

the trackball is strange not too practical, on large monitor you have to adjust the mouse sensibility.
The numpad is fine, with low profle keys.

It's a nice keyboard with some defects.

you mean mouse sensitivity.

Honestly if I ever got a keyboard with something onboard for mouse stuff that half would never get plugged in.

Actually your english ain't too shabby. Those two aren't exactly every-day-use type, so I was just pointing it out so you can get better.
