Hello,
I wanted to pull out my spacebar but I forced to much on the center and the thing bumped in the air. (on RF 87)
Does anybody have a correct method to do it properly and safely ?
I only own the topre puller. (which scratch easily)
Thank you :)

BE CAREFUL! Pull out the keys to the left and right of the spacebar, then gently lift it up using your fingers and applying equal pressure on both sides. Go slowly.

Thank you guys.
Ripster, if I remember well, did you replace yours with the one in the HHKB lettered keycaps set ? Is it exactly the same ?
-
You know, it amuses me how many of these threads there are. Easy as pie on my (supposedly) lesser quality HHKB.
-
I used 2 butter knives as a lever to lift the spacebar. It worked like a charm.

If you go with RiGS' method, better double up on the "praying" part.

I trained a bit with your method. I am still not confident about pulling out this key. I scratched it badly the first time.
I understand why you broke the black thing ripster.
The key itself is bad quality in comparaison with the entire board and it's risky to pull it.
The best advice i can give is to not touch it. :p

It went surprisingly smooth!
Just make sure to keep the ALT keys in place to support levering.

I have just tested it again, It's super easy.

Pull the keys next to the spacebar. Hold onto spacebar with puller on one end. Use your fingers to grip other. Wiggle it upwards.
Pray.
Don't do what I did.

This would not happened to you if you have had the HHKB JP Layout Ripster!
Tiny Spacebars don't have this problem :D
