is that a usb-b adapter to usb a and it connects to a flash drive? To make it work and possibly even sleuthing the harddrive into showing 500gb's?

Exactly ..
 It's really a piece of cake doing it, once you find the software to program the flash-controller ..
The poor sod who bought this one didn't realise anything was wrong until he tried to transfer a file
larger than the real capacity of the flash-drive ..

Dont buy a HDD on ebay, and dont buy a samsung hdd. or prepare for data loss :E

i like how those nuts are perfectly just right to fit in nicely, it's like they went out of their way to make sure a perfect fit would ensure. look at the workmanship of counterfeiting! there's like no margin of error in the ... glue?

Well a 512Mb instead of GB will fool most pple without even bothering corruptweaking the File Allocation Table (FAT).
