Hey GH guys,
Do you guys think there will be a group buy soon on Palm rests? I'm looking to buy a superb palm rest that would be the medium of everyone's want. Like a Cherry MX Brown or a Logitech MX 518, because the average users use them. Or does anyone know of a good palm rest they can recommend?
Thanks!

I'm not so sure what you are asking...are you asking for a wrist rest? Why do you reference the Browns and the MX518 - are you trying to say you want a wrist rest everyone can agree on?
If so, I think this (http://www.armygroup.com.tw/shop/goods.php?id=1683) fits the bill.

Hmm, how much are those when converted to USD? and I heard Filcos weren't that great =/

Yea, sorry... I was talking about wrist rest. I mentioned the Browns and the MX 518, because those are like usually balance and it comes to everyone's liking. Everyone likes using MX Browns, but blues black reds depends on your taste. Everyone will like the MX 518, but the other mouses depend on your taste.

I love my Filco wrist rest. Check out this thread (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=17035) for some pics and I think I paid around $50 back when EK had Filco keyboards and stuff.

The reason about Filco is that I heard a lot of negatives about them. And at the moment, they are quite pricey.

...from who? Filco makes some of the best keyboards out there, and everyone who has the wrist rest loves it.

I'm a fan of the imak ergobeads wrist rests for both keyboard and mouse.

That Filco rest actually looks pretty good. Might have to pick one up.

The ducky rests on pc home are only $35 when they offer their $10 international shipping.

I like heavy gel wrist rest.
Easy to clean and last forever.
The 3M's are great. Good quality fabric.

The blue Fellows gel wrist rest you've seen on my desk is over 8 years old. I've tried the Filco wrist rest, while really nice, it's a little stiff and not tall enough for my needs.
If the Filco was a little taller I'd use it, my desk isn't the standard 30 inchs, it's a bit lower.

I like stiff wrist rests...I don't know how hot I am on gel ones. Are they any good? I feel like they'd company too much and end up being too short for me.

Not particularly a fan of most things Ducky, but those red rests look cool. I don't know how functional they are.

I have the "leather" one for tenkeyless. Don't know if it turely is leather, but it feels fine. They are actually hard, not soft. They even have a metal plate inside. I thought this was bad at first, but then I grew to prefer it over my gel rest because:
1) it doesn't bubble and push into the soft area of my wrists the way that the gel does.
2) It is the perfect height for my 1087.
I doubt it is for everyone, but it is an option. I would compare it to the wooden rests that people build, except a little softer, because there is a thin layer of foam under that "leather."

The Filcos are kind of pricey, no?
-
^ Yes, they are but you get what you pay for, I suppose. =P

The gel one I have doesn't give very much if that's what you're referring to. I can rest the full weight of my arms on it and it doesn't go down much at all. But then I'm 5'11 and 165 lbs.
